The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) http://www.gemconsortium.org/
is an international research consortium that investigates early
stage entrepreneurship activity. Since 2002, when The Chinese University
of Hong Kong joined the GEM Consortium, we have held forums and
published reports describing Hong Kong's entrepreneurship and the
conditions that affect entrepreneurial activity. In 2003, the Shenzhen
Academy of Social Sciences Members joined our research team.

A press conference and a forum was be held to report on the findings
to the public. A comparison of the two cities is likely to bring
