If the answer is yes, please join this executive seminar organized by the newly launched Center for Supply Chain Management.
In this seminar, we have invited professors and senior executives from leading companies to share their insights and experiences on supply chain management with you. The four SCM executives are from Li & Fung Group, Emerson Network Power, Lee Kam Kee and IDS Logistics International.
Academic speakers include Professors from Georgia Institute of Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Udine in Italy and Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain. Each of them possesses ample experience in research, consulting and training in the areas of supply chain management. The Logistics Institute (TLI) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the most successful institutes in logistics research and education. Professor Jerry Banks has played a very important role in TLI and the establishment of The Asia Logistic Institute (TALI). The Chinese University has collaborated with the University of Udine in Italy and Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain on an Asia V-Chain project, funded by the European Commission. Through this project, they have studied several companies in Hong Kong and Southern China to promote the applications of innovative methodologies, frameworks and information technology solutions for virtual supply chain management. In this seminar, the European Professors will introduce innovative approaches for enhancing supply chain performance developed from the V-chain Project in Europe. They will also talk about the implementation experience and results in Ford Motor company in Spain and in Aprilia, a Motor Cycle Manufacturer in Italy.
More than 100 representatives from the academia, Government officials and senior executives from numerous industry sectors attended the “Moving Towards Virtual Supply Chain Management” seminar organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong on Friday, May 28, 2004 at the InterContinental Hotel.
