Introduction

The Supply Chain Management Research Center (SCMRC) is established to conduct state of arts research in supply chain management (SCM) and to promote the application of SCM in the great Pearl River Delta (PRD) region.  Faculty members in the center have been conducting supply chain management (SCM) studies in Hong Kong and Mainland China China. These include process integration in supply chains, strategic postures of logistic service providers in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Supply chain structure in the PRD, Operations Strategy in China and Asia-V-Chain: Advanced Strategies and Tools for Virtual Supply Chain Management in Asia Environment.      More

Activities

"The primary goal of the Center is to conduct research to advance the theory of supply chain management and to develop models, methodologies and IT solutions for supply chain enhancement. The Center will also promote the application of these models, methodologies, IT solutions and best practices in supply chain management.

The Center will be responsive to industrial needs and provide consulting services for the industries based on the results of applied research and development activities. In this effort, we will work closely with companies and we will also produce cases for teaching and executive training.

Based on the results of research, consulting and case studies, we will offer executive training on focused topics that are within the expertise of the center.
