Aviation Policy and Research Center
 

Mission

Together with the growth of economic activities in the region, particularly the potential for growth of air passenger and freight traffic in and around Asia, there is now urgency for improved public policy considerations of this important area of our economic development. Providing academic and professional views on this dynamic industry is the mission of Aviation Policy and Research Center, which is a research center established at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The primary focus of our Center is placed on aviation related issues which will impact the immediate and long term development of Hong Kong, Greater China, and the Asia-Pacific Region, with the aim to contribute to improved evidence-based public policy-making and management of aviation related resources.

Activities

To conduct and promote research in the economic, management, and policy aspects of the aviation industry in the region;

To promote public understanding and encourage debate on aviation related issues through research publications, newsletters, seminars, and other forums;

To promote exchanges among academics, policy makers, practitioners, aviation related business sector, and industry stakeholders;

To contribute to the educational aspects in the aviation and related industry by offering educational programs catered to the needs of the aviation sector.
