JUPAS – HKALE (3-year Curriculum)
Integrated BBA Programme JUPAS Code: JA 4202
JUPAS applicants are required to fulfill the following minimum requirements:- In one sitting of the HKCEE, grade E or above in at least seven subjects, with good grades in any two language subjects (Chinese Language and English Language are preferred*) and Mathematics or Additional Mathematics; and
- In one sitting of the HKALE#, grade E or above in AS Chinese Language and Culture, AS Use of English and 2 AL subjects or 1 AL and 2 AS subjects.
Remarks
* Level 2 or above for Chinese Language and English language is required for applicants sitting the HKCEE from 2007 onwards.
# For applicants sitting HKALE in their Secondary 6 and 7, the results of both sittings will be considered.

50% HKCEE + 50% of HKALE, where
Remarks
A = 5 points; B = 4 points; C = 3 points; D = 2 points; E = 1 point
(Starting from 2007, the grade point conversation for Chinese Language and English Language is Grade 5* = 5, Grade 5 = 4, Grade 4 = 3, Grade 3 = 2, Grade 2 = 1)

HKALE – AS Use of Eng double-counted
* Additional AL subject with A = 0.125; B = 0.1; C = 0.075; D = 0.05; E = 0.025,
AS subject being half the point of AL one

Example
A JUPAS applicant gets:
HKCEE - Chi(5*), Eng(4), Math(A),1st Subj (A), 2nd Subj (B), 3rd Subj (B), 4th Subj (C)
HKALE – Eng (4), Chi (4), 1st AL (B), 2nd AL (C), 1st AS (C)
(Grade A = 5 points, Grade B = 4 points, Grade C = 3 points etc.)
Therefore, the applicant’s admission point is 3.8470 (2.16666 + 1.68035).
Remarks
^ Students admitted via School Principal’s Nomination Scheme, Self-recommendation Scheme and Sports Scholarship Scheme are excluded from the calculation.
Selection Criteria
No interview is involved. IBBA accepts students with outstanding academic results. In the previous years, our entrants are all from Band A choices.
Period of Study
The University adopts a flexible credit unit system. JUPAS entrants must complete at least 99 units before graduation in a normative study period of 3 years.
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for Full Time Undergraduates is HK$42,100 (per annum).
