Overview
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Professional Accountancy (PACC) Programme is designed to provide students with a firm grounding in knowledge, skills and attributes that are essential for pursuing a career in accounting. In addition to technical business and accounting knowledge, the programme focuses on developing students’ leadership, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Professionalism, ethics and information technology are integrated throughout the curriculum. There are ample opportunities for our PACC students to join exchange, internship, and scholarships programmes.
Students will have a further opportunity to choose studying under the Global Accounting (GA) stream* upon completion of their year-one studies within the 4- year PACC programme. This stream is prepared for elite students to acquire a global mindset as well as in-depth international accounting knowledge and issues. Students in the GA stream** will be provided with overseas exposure and an internship opportunity.*
Graduates are eligible to apply for registering as students of the Qualification Programme under the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) or to take other professional examinations. PACC graduates are sought after and mostly recruited by the Big-4 accounting firms while others have joined companies in, for example, the banking and financial sectors.
