MPhil Programmes

The Department offers two research programmes, MPhil and PhD, which aim to prepare students to conduct high-quality and relevant management research. Another objective is to prepare students for careers in research and teaching in tertiary institutions or as analysts in business organizations.

  2. Required Courses
    1. MPhil students are required to take at least 3 courses from the list of Faculty Core Courses, 1 course from the list of Departmental Advanced Seminars, and Thesis Courses.
    2. Upon approval by the supervisor, required Departmental Advanced Seminars can be replaced by courses taken at other universities or MKT8111 Independent Study.
    3. Students without a first degree in Marketing are required to take Marketing Management and Consumer Behaviour.
    4. Students may be required to take other courses as prescribed by the supervisor.
    5. Students are required to complete a minimum of 12 units of Lecture courses for graduation.
