MPhil and PhD Programmes
The Department offers two research programmes, MPhil and PhD, which aim to prepare students to conduct high-quality and relevant management research. Another objective is to prepare students for careers in research and teaching in tertiary institutions or as analysts in business organizations.

II. Required Courses:

a.

PhD students are required to take at least 6 courses from the list of Faculty Core and/or Foundation and Support Courses, 2 courses from the list of Departmental Advanced Seminars, and Thesis Courses.

b.

Upon approval by the supervisor, 2 of the required Faculty Core and/or Foundation and Support courses can be replaced by other courses.

c.

Upon approval by the supervisor, required Departmental Advanced Seminars can be replaced by courses taken at other universities or MGT8111 Independent Study.

d.

Students may be required to take other courses as prescribed by the supervisor.

e.

Students are required to complete a minimum of 24 units of Lecture Courses for graduation.
