Concentration Options

Students may pursue one of the four concentration options under the new curriculum: they are China Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Marketing. Each concentration requires completion of 15 units in total:

1. China Business


Business Plan Writing Workshop

Required Course:
Business Field Trip - Mainland China

Completion of at least 12 units from the following sample electives:

  • Company & Security Law of China
  • China's Economic Development after Economic Reform
  • China Finance
  • Seminar in China's Enterprise and Trade
  • Seminar in Management of Chinese Enterprises
  • Marketing in China
  • Leaderships and Organizational Behaviour in China
   
2. Entrepreneurship

Required Courses:
New Venture Business Project

Completion of at least 12 units of the following sample electives:

  • Project Management
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Management of Innovation
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Business Negotiations
  • Technology Start up - From Idea to Reality
  • Venture Capital & Private Equity
  • Selected Topics in Management: Managing Family Business Growth
   
3. Finance


Information session in Hong Kong

Required Courses:
Financial Management
Investment & Portfolio Analysis

Completion of at least 9 units of the following sample electives:

  • Advanced Financial Management
  • Management of Financial Institutions
  • Financial Markets and Instruments
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Global Finance
  • Cases in Corporate Finance
  • China Finance

 

 
4. Marketing
 

Required Courses:
Marketing Management
Strategic Marketing
Marketing Research

Completion of at least 6 units of the following sample electives:

  • Buyer Behaviour
  • Internet Marketing
  • Marketing in China
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Strategic Brand Management
  • Service Marketing
  • Organizational Marketing
