| Class of 2010 students bid farewell at "Summer Farewell Party", Jumbo Restaurant |

|
After learning side-by-side and sharing so many fun or hard times together, CUMBA graduates-to-be have finished their last courses and come to the point they will go different directions. But this "Summer Farewell Party" (held in June) at the Jumbo Restaurant is by no means the end of their friendships. Instead, they will be keeping in touch and ready to team up again - anytime the School calls for their support! |
| "CUMBA Information Sessions" in Vancouver and Toronto met with enthusiastic response |
Taking advantage of the momentum of the surge of applications from North America this year, CUMBA admissions staff, led by Programme Director Prof. Michael Ferguson, flew to Vancouver and Toronto on 27 & 28 June to hold our first Information Sessions for the 2010-intake. They were met with enthusiastic responses from prospective students and alumni alike in these major Canadian cities.

New part-time students met each other at orientation day and Outward Bound |
 |
On 31 July, our new part-time students (both evening and weekend modes) finally met each other at their Orientation Day and were then put into teams for the "Outward Bound Training" that follow. During the 3-day outdoor adventure, besides all the fun, laughters and physically-challenging moments to overcome, they have learnt leadership skills, problem-solving skills and gained precious friendships of each other.

| ”East meets West” – full-time students of 18 countries become friends |
August has become an exciting month of 'East meets West' for us here in CUMBA. Our new full-time students from 18 countries have all arrived on campus and a series of orientation and get-to-know-each-other activities immediately begun. These included a 2-day orientation, campus tour and a dinner buffet at the cozy “Pier #7” restaurant at the Star Ferry Terminal in Central. They will all be participating in a 5-day “Outward Bound Training” in end of August which will enhance their leadership and problem-solving skills. |
