| A
Comprehensive Curriculum |
| |
| The curriculum
of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management emphasizes both theory and
practice. It offers students an excellent opportunity to learn how to apply
business theories to real-life situations in the hotel, tourism, real estate,
and other service industries. Students are required to take the core curriculum
of business courses similar to those required of majors in the Integrated
BBA program, as well as courses in hotel and tourism management, real estate
and property investment, and hospitality strategic management. The School
has evolved its curriculum over time, and the new curriculum has been offered
for the first time in 2002-2003. Major students are required to complete
a set of Hotel and Tourism Management required courses, and two Major elective
courses to enable them to specialize in one of the concentration areas of
their interest. The concentration areas are Human Resource Management, Real
Estate and Finance, and Marketing and Tourism. Besides, Major students are
required to enrol in some executive-in-residence elective courses and other
free elective courses during their course of study. |
