real global environment. We offer courses focusing on strategy of global business management and cultural dynamics, which are supplemented by overseas exchange and study abroad programmes to broaden our student's global perspectives.
Given that basis, our focus on business in China is world class, offering a systematic and professional approach to postgraduate education and research. Our MBA programmes in Hong Kong offer a dedicated concentration on China Business. Our MBA in Finance and the Executive Master of Professional Accountancy programmes offered in the mainland lead the Greater China Region in their fields. We also established close collaboration with renowned mainland universities on joint research projects and training of young researchers.
While our faculty's research interests are extensive, a special focus rests on the latest development of emerging markets, which we believe will be a major driver of the global economy. To highlight a few, our Center for Institutions and Governance conducted studies in unique governance issues in Asia and China. Other faculty members take lead of two University-level research centers – the Center of Economics and Finance and the Li & Fung Institute of Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Both centers placed significant emphasis on challenges and viable solutions for emerging markets in their respective areas. Our research efforts own international recognition, with the University of Texas-Dallas ranking us No.1 in the world in management journal publication in the “Journal of International Business Studies”(1995 to 2008).
Over the years, we have nurtured more than 17,000 business professionals who have formed a major pillar of the local as well as global business community. Looking onto the future, we will continue to provide world-class business education and research with an Asian emphasis, which will be instrumental to achieve global impact in view of the emerging role of the Region in the global arena.
