Graduate Placed Third in World ACCA Examination

|
Stephanie Kwan, working for KPMG's audit department
since graduating from the University in 2003, took the examination
run by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
earlier in June. Her score was only four marks behind the gold
medalist in the Part 3 core papers which focused on the strategic
management of a business. Stephanie also won the gold medal of
Hong Kong Top Affiliate in the examination.

I could have been more patient and calmer in the exam, I could have
done betterˇK but still, I am happy with the result I got, "said
Stephanie. |

Stephanie received her awards at the prize presentation
ceremonies held in Hong Kong and London on October 28, 2004 and
November 5, 2004 respectively.
|

|
Graduates of the School of Accountancy have been
bringing much good news of their outstanding performances in ACCA
Examinations in recent years.

The
ACCA qualification
ACCA
is the best known international accountancy organization established
over 100 years ago. It is also the first professional body to offer
examinations based on international accounting standards. Its ACCA
qualification is widely recognized in every area of accountancy and
finance around the world. Examinations are held twice a year, in June
and December. In addition to completing examinations successfully,
graduates are required to obtain a minimum of three years' relevant
supervised practical experience in order to qualify as a Chartered
Certified Accountant. |
