Launch
of BA Faculty International Summer Programme
|
|
| |
|
To
strengthen the Faculty's position as the regional leader in business
education, and to increase the international profile of our existing
business programmes in accordance with the University's internationalization
policy, we are launching the BA Faculty International Summer Programme
in summer 2005, between mid-June and the end of July.
|
|
|
|
We
have invited some outstanding academics from the U.S. to teach in
the International Summer Programme, including: Tatiana Kostova (U
of South Carolina), Martin S. Roth (U of South Carolina), Robert
C. Liden (U of Illinois at Chicago), Sandy J. Wayne (U of Illinois
at Chicago), John N. Doggett (Texas - Austin) and Viktoria Dalko
(Harvard). These professors are all outstanding teachers who have
received many teaching awards. In addition, two of our outstanding
teachers, Michael Ferguson (PAC) and Haksin Chan (MKT), will also
offer courses in the International Summer Programme.
|
|
|
All
courses in the International Summer Programme will be taught in
English. We are expecting half of the students for the International
Summer Programme will be our BA major students, while the other
half will be international exchange students from the U.S., Asia
and Europe. To let students better mix with each other, a residential
hall will be reserved to accommodate students attending the summer
programme. CUHK students attending the programme will learn and
live alongside students from diverse cultures. They can have a taste
of cultural exchange with international students without going on
exchange, gain international exposure, and build up a global network.
More importantly, students can take courses that are not offered
during term time at their own choices and earn additional credits
- free of charge!
