Orientation Day for Undergraduate Admissions on October 30, 2004

The University held its Orientation Day for Undergraduate Admissions on October 30. This is an annual event to promote our undergraduate programmes to secondary school students. More than 5,000 prospective students visited our exhibitions and attended 16 seminars organized by the five programmes. The two seminars on the new stream of "Global Business" were fully subscribed. We are delighted to see a big turn-out of support from our students when more than 150 students volunteered their services as student ambassadors. They spent hours decorating and setting up the venues the evening before the big day. Their main role as ambassadors was to give directions, distribute brochures, and answer visitors' questions. The visitors were clearly impressed with our ambassadors who were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the programmes they represented. We are glad to report that the whole event went very smoothly without any safety-related incidents.
