兩名會計學院學生─翁振興、黎佩珊和一名翻譯系同學於二零零四年四月在L'Oreal舉辦的L'Oreal e-Strat Challenge裡脫穎而出，成為香港區冠軍。香港區亞軍亦由另一支中大商學院隊伍奪得，隊員包括︰葛磊、林芳婷和楊藹寧。L'Oreal是世上數一數二的美容用品公司。該比賽模擬美容用品公司的市場環境，讓同學互相討論並出謀獻策，以確保公司的競爭力。全球113個國家共一萬隊合共三萬名學生參加這項比賽。
In April 2004, two final-year accounting students - Danny YUNG and Pui Shan LAI, and a translation student, became the Hong Kong winners of the L'Oreal e-Strat Challenge organized by the French beauty products company L'Oreal. The CUHK team beat 200 teams from other universities in Hong Kong and was placed 1st in Hong Kong. The 2nd Runner-up went to a team of three CUHK BBA students - Le GE, Fong Ting LAM and Jacqueline YEUNG.
A total of 10,000 teams of 30,000 university students from 113 countries participated in this competition.
L'Oreal e-Strat Challenge is an international on-line business game that provides teams of three students each with the opportunity to be the decision-makers of a virtual global cosmetics company.
