2010 Macau Conference

Dear Colleagues,

 

Welcome to AAoM 2010 Conference to be held in December!!

Please follow the steps below for preparing your trip to Macau:

 

1.        Register for Conference

 

All participants have to register for the conference. Please fill in the registration form downloaded from the AAoM website (http://www.baf.cuhk.edu.hk/asia-aom/). Pay the registration fees using your valid credit card. No personal cheque or bank drafts are accepted. Students and colleagues from low income countries may apply for a special rate by providing supporting documents. Registration after October 31, 2010 will subject to a higher fee. Please note that at least one author from each paper must register in order to be listed in the final conference program.

 

Registration fees:

US$330 for Conference registration with a complimentary two years full AAoM membership

US$165 Special Rate for students and low income attendees with a complimentary two years full AAoM membership (Special rate is provided to needed participants on a competitive basis. Intended applicants must submit relevant documentation such as student identity proofs and supporting evidence from school concerned to Secretariat for consideration.) 

 

2. Book Hotel Room

 

The conference will be held at Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Center. It is located in the center of Macau. However, it has no accommodation. You are advised to book your room from those hotels in the attached list (see below) which are arranged by the local host and close to Macau Tower (shuttle bus services to Macau Tower will be arranged for some hotels).  Please book your room directly using the following link: http://www.mvdmc.com/aam2010/.  For questions, please contact Ms. Cathy Chan, MV Destination Management Limited, Hong Kong, quoting "Asia Academy of Management" (phone: (852) 27358118; fax:(852) 27358282; E-mail: hotel@mvdmc.com). Limited number of rooms is available at the conference rates from 11 to 14 December 2010 subject to reservation until 10 November, reservation after that is accepted if rooms are available or subject to higher rates.

 

3. Plan your Travel and Transportation

 

Participants can fly into Hong Kong and take a ferry to Macau or fly into Macau directly.  Details can be obtained from this “Travel to Macau” page.

 

If you need a visa to get into Macau, please process it early. Necessary documents other than the invitation letter can be obtained from the Secretariat upon request.  Invitation letter from University of Macau (local host) can be obtained by contacting local arrangement chair Anita Chan (AnitaKWC@umac.mo).  Please note that there will be a reception on the evening of the 12th, and the program will end on the evening of the 14th.
