Dr. Law Cheung Kwok holds the position of Chief Economic Advisor of the Hong Kong Policy Research Institute and Principal Consultant of Mutual Partners (HK) Limited. He received his Bachelor Degree of Social Science (Economics) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Ph.D. (Economics) from the University of California (Los Angeles). Other than dedicating more than twenty years in economic and policy research work, as well as financial services, he has also been active in social and political activities.
Dr. Law now serves as a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) District Council (Sai Kung), an Executive Committee member of the New Century Forum and Vice President of the Hong Kong Economic Association. Previously, he was a member of the HKSAR Provisional Legislative Council (1997-1998), a member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council (1995-1997), a member of the Legal Aid Services Council (1996-1998), an adjudicator of the Immigration Tribunal (1994-1998) and a member of the Consumer Council (1992-1996).
Dr. Law has been very supportive to student activities of the Faculty of Business Administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been an advisor to the Strategic Investment Society and the China Trade Society of the University for many years. Currently, he is also a mentor in the Executive Mentor Programme.
羅祥國博士現任香港政策研究所首席經濟顧問及明進（香港）有限公司首席顧問。羅博士畢業於香港中文大學，獲社會科學學士（經濟學）學位，並獲美國加州大學（洛杉磯分校）博士學位（經濟學）。他除了熱誠投入於經濟及政策研究工作和金融服務業外，更積極參與社會及政治活動。
羅博士現任全國政協委員、西貢區區議員、新世紀論壇執行委員會委員及香港經濟學會副會長。他曾任香港特區臨時立法會議員（1997至1998）、香港立法局議員（1995至1997）、法援局成員（1996至1998）、人民入境處審裁員（1994至1998）和消費者委員會委員（1992至1996）。
羅博士非常支持香港中文大學工商管理學院的學生活動。他多年來都是投資學會和中國貿易學會的顧問，最近更成為了「師承計劃」的導師。 |
