Kevin Au is a Hong Kong native. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a B.B.A. degree in 1989, and went on to studied for a M.Phil. degree of Psychology at the ssame university. His motivation then was to understand cross-cultural social behaviors which awed him during a European tour. With a lot of luck, he was accepted by the business school of the University of British Columbia. He spent five years in the beautiful city of Vancouver and returned to Hong Kong with a Ph.D. in management/ International business. His alma mater hired him and promoted him to be an associate professor in 2001. His research interests are diverse: international HRM, social network, and research methodology. He recently starts his first book project with the tentative title of “E-learning in Greater China.” Asked about the finishing date, Kevin refused to give a definite answer, citing buoyant consulting work, increasing involvement with CUBA Alumni, and numerous side interests as excuses. His favorite activities are sleeping and self-actualization.
