Dragon League
Accounting Students Case Competition 2000 (March 2000)
The School of Accountancy will host a student case competition on campus together with the Chinese University Society of Accountancy (CUSA) during April 1-5. Three teams from Peking University, Fudan University and the National Taiwan University will join a team from CUHK.
In addition to other academic and exchange activities, the four teams will analyze the financial statements of a real firm and present their findings to a panel of judges consisting of academics and local business professionals. Therefore, it offers accounting students from the four universities a practical opportunity to show their talents and skills, and learn to become business and financial leaders of the future. It will also be an extraordinary opportunity for students to partake in a cross-boarder experience to enrich their academic and cultural lives.
This event is part of the annual student exchange activity organized by the Dragon League. Founded in 1998 to promote accounting education and research through academic exchanges, the Dragon League, in an academic alliance consisting of accounting schools and departments from four leading universities in Greater China, namely, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Fudan University and the National Taiwan University. The League holds an annual student conference in member schools on a rotational basis to enhance academic and professional exchanges among the students. The first such event was hosted by Peking University last year in the form of a debate contest and received wide publicity through coverage by the local and national news media.
