Teams from The Chinese University of Hong Kong  (CUHK) and the National Taiwan University shared the championship of the Dragon League Accounting Case Competition 2000 which was held on the CUHK campus from April 1 to 3, 2000.

Jointly hosted by the School of Accountancy and Chinese University Society of Accountancy of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the 3-day competition attracted top-notch accounting students from four leading universities in the Greater China, namely, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Fudan University and the National Taiwan University.

Given the financial statements of a real listed PRC-based share-A and share-H company, the teams were required to prepare a 5-pages written report in 17 hours and a 30-minutes oral presentation to a panel of judge consisting of academic and accounting professionals on their financial analysis and strategic recommendations for the case company.  Therefore, the Competition offered accounting students from the four universities a practical opportunity to show their talents and skills.

Teams from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the National Taiwan University overcame the other teams with their in-depth analysis of the problem, practical proposals and impressive oral presentation.  The CUHK team members included Wong Kwan Ning (Captain), Chan Ching Man, Chan Ting Kwan, Cheng Yat Wai, Mai Wai Lam, Kan Wing Yang, Regina.  Miss Cao Zhiyan from the Fudan University won the best presenter prize.  The judges and the audience were impressed by the outstanding presentations made by the four teams.

The event is part of the annual student exchange activities organized by the Dragon League, an academic alliance founded in 1998 to promote accounting education and research through academic exchanges among its members – accounting schools and departments from the four universities mentioned above.

All participants from the four schools were truly passionate about this unique exchange forum.  They had gained valuable cross-border experience to enrich their academic and cultural lives.

龍騰盟會計個案分析比賽
中大台大齊奪魁

香港中文大學會計學院代表隊同學於四月一日至三日參加在中文大學校園內舉辦之「龍騰盟」會計個案分析比賽，結果擊敗來自北京大學、復旦大學的代表，與台灣大學共同奪得雙冠軍。

是項比賽由「龍騰會計學術聯盟」（簡稱「龍騰盟」）主辦，今年輪流由中大會計學院與中大會計院會合作承辦。校隊伍要在一日半時間內，對一個中國上市企業（A股及H股）的個案及財務報表進行分析，作出一份五頁的簡短報告，及向學界和商界領袖組成的評判團提出為時三十分鐘的口頭發表。因此是項比賽能提供四校會計學生一國際機會來展示他們之才能，並培養成為未來的企業和財會界領導。

中大及台大憑著對個案全面深入的分析和有效策畸建議，獲一致專業評判們青睞而齊奪魁，中大代表隊成員包括：黃昆寧（隊長）、陳靜雯、陳鼎鈞、鄭逸威、簡詠茵和麥瑋琳。最佳演說獎則由復旦大學的曹致彥同學奪得。四隊的傑出表現對到場參觀的校外專業人仕留下深刻的印象。

此項活動為「龍騰盟」學術活動系列之一。龍騰盟是由香港中文大學、北京大學、台灣大學及復旦大學四校會計院系於一九九八年十一月組成，聯盟成員每年輪流舉辦會計學生節，以加強四校之間的師生聯繫，提高各會計院系的學術研究水平，促進兩岸三地的經濟文化交流。

所有參予比賽的四校同學都很珍惜這個珍貴的交流機會，他們也獲取了寶貴的跨境經驗來充實自己的學習和文化生活。
